Domo @ Comic Fiesta 2010 Berjaya Times Square - How to make Domokun costume

First get your plan ready, draw up plan to shape a box to match your height, my box is 170cm tall
I am 163cm tall,

next get your materials ready, T connectors to combine, L connectors for corners , plus Long poles for frame, you will need a small saw to cut the poles to the right length. all the poles are made our of pvc. because they are light.

make 2 rectangles then cut them to add the T connectors. Make sure is balanced

once its finish it should look like this, I've added sponge for shoulder brace.
remember to tape all the joins with pvc tape because they will get loose after a while.

Get the Fabric that suits domo colour, I used Guni sack material.
Its thick and heavy tho. but its the right colour.
then wrap around the frame,
use big stapler and sew them together.

cut a big rectangle for the top and staple from inside the body.

Next cut 2 round card board pieces for the eyes and  rectangle shape for the mouth.
Cut out the mouth piece

and UHU glue  the white teeth  to the red cloth and stick from inside.

Velcro stick the eyes to the fabric.

make domo arms like  this, then add cotton or newspaper inside

Slit the right side to insert arm.. stapler  the armpit from inside body..

make the other hand and do the same thing.

make the legs with wider cloth, prepare velcro straps to strap around the knee

once done it should look like this
stick black paper and sticked on the round eyes

add 2 small white circles and add on the black eyes

its ready

Domo with legs and movable arms. ( I inserted a pole on each hand from the inside to make it easier to move up at down while carrying the costume)

LASTLY , have fun and take lots of photos. you can sit down on the floor while they take photos
